10/15/2025 – Education Report
Last month, ten teachers were in the running for the final $16,000+ grand prize in the Heroes of the Classroom program. After a public vote, Melanie Hammericksen, a Culinary Arts teacher at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon was named the winner and received $10,000 for herself and her school won $5,000 and a one-year supply of Kleenex Brand Tissue.
Ms. Hammerickson also known as “Chef Hammerickson” was nominated by the principal of Lincoln High School, Peyton Chapman, for her dedication to teaching and the larger school community….Read more about Melanie’s win in Education Report.
